Stanford - news release

09/20/93

STANFORD -- Aida Daidzic and Diana Kapidzic, Bosnian women who were forced to leave their
country because of war, will give a talk and video presentation at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, in room M-

The two are members of BISER, an international organization composed of women of all nationalities that provides help to women in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as help for women refugees. In coalition with two Bosnian and two Croatian groups, BISER has started a legal suit against Serbian leader Radovan Karadzic. The lawyer handling the suit is Catharine MacKinnon, a
faculty member of the University of Michigan Law School.

The talk is sponsored by the Stanford Chapter of the California Coalition Against Ethnic Cleansing,

Medicine.
